Our Story

My journey with VNNYL began in my parent’s spare bedroom in 2016, screen printing t-shirts for my friends and hosting pop-ups coast to coast.

Give or take a few years learning to sew the vintage styles I was thrifting- today I run the show from my studio in Encinitas, CA alongside Raquel, my right hand woman.

From the beginning I’ve had a love for all things striped and polka- dotted.

My collections are born out of a love for loud and bold prints while staying true to the quality for pieces that we truly love and can't do without. Each piece is inspired by previous decades drawn from interiors to 1960’s fashion icons. Vnnyl is more than a brand—it's a collective of creatives coming together. Inspired by past, present and future designed for everyone, and meant to be passed down. Like all my choices with VNNYL, I believe life should be fun and that what you wear should make you feel good.

We take pride in producing our
own patterns in our San Diego studio. We are inspired by the fashion of previous decades and focus our styles on timeless silhouettes. The 1970’s brought us the flare jean while the 1920’s brought us the classic utilitarian overall. We put a modern twist on classic styles.

Every stitch and seam is a product of our embroiderers and seamstresses and
they are the reason our visions come to life. We prioritize paying every member of our team fair wages while promoting sustainable practices. VNNYL wouldn’t be anything without our creative family.

We prioritize sourcing sustainable materials whenever possible, exclusively using natural fibers. We also aim to use deadstock materials to help reduce waste and prevent them from ending up in landfills.

By caring for your clothing properly you can reduce their environmental impact.

Tips and tricks for longer lasting clothing:

Wash your clothes less (spot clean wherever possible)
Wash on cycle delicate or low temperatures
Repair your garments! Go to your local tailor or patch with a contrasting fabric
Iron less (hang your clothes to dry when possible).
